திருவல்லவாழ் திருவாழ்மார்பன் கோயில்

திருவல்லவாழ் திருவாழ்மார்பன் கோயில், கேரளத்தின் பத்தினம்திட்டா மாவட்டத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள முக்கியமான வைணவ திவ்ய தேசம் ஆகும். இது 108 திவ்ய தேசங்களில் 80-வது ஸ்தலமாக வணங்கப்படுகிறது. இத்தலம் திருவல்லா அல்லது ஸ்ரீவல்லப ஷேத்ரம் என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.

மூலவர் கிழக்கு நோக்கி நின்ற கோலத்தில், திருவாழ்மார்பன் / ஸ்ரீவல்லபன் / கோலப்பிரான் என அறியப்படுகிறார். தாயார் – செல்வத் திருக்கொழுந்து நாச்சியார், வாத்சல்ய தேவி. விமானம் – சதுரங்க கோல விமானம். தீர்த்தங்கள் – கண்டகர்ண தீர்த்தம், பம்பை தீர்த்தம்.

இங்கு பெருமாள், அங்கவஸ்திரம் இல்லாமல், திருமகளை மார்பில் நிரந்தரமாக தரித்ததால், “திருவாழ்மார்பன்” என அழைக்கப்படுகிறார். பிற தலங்களில் திருவடி தரிசனம் முக்கியம் என்றால், இங்கு திரு மார்பு தரிசனம் முக்கியம்.

கருடாழ்வார், 50 அடி உயர தூணில் பறக்கும் நிலையில், தங்க கவசம் அணிந்து அருள்பாலிக்கிறார். பெருமாளை அழைக்க தயார் நிலையில் இருக்கிறார் என ஐதீகம். பெண்களுக்கு சுவாமி தரிசனம் சற்று கட்டுப்பாடுடன் வழங்கப்படுகிறது.

நைவேத்தியமாக பாக்கு இலைவில் உப்பு மாங்காய், மாசி மாதம் 10 நாள் திருவிழா, மற்றும் மார்கழி திருவாதிரியில் விபூதி – சந்தனம் வழங்கும் சடங்குகள் இத்தல சிறப்புகள். குழந்தை பாக்கியம் வேண்டுவோர் இங்கு கதகளி நடனம் நேர்ச்சையாக நடத்துவர் – இது ‘கலாக்ஷேத்ரா’ குழுவால் நடத்தப்படுகிறது.

🛕Thiruvalla Thiruvazhmarban Temple

Thiruvazhmarban Temple in Thiruvalla, Pathanamthitta district of Kerala, is a revered Vaishnavite Divya Desam, ranked as the 80th among the 108 Divya Desams. Also known as Sri Vallabha Kshetram, it is mentioned in the Garuda Purana and Matsya Purana.

The main deity is Thiruvazhmarban (Sri Vallabha or Kolapiran), standing facing east. Thayar is Selva Thirukozhundu Nachiyar / Vathsalya Devi. The Vimanam is the Chathuranga Kola Vimanam. Sacred tanks include Kandakarna Theertham and Pambai Theertham.

Unlike other temples, the deity here appears without an upper cloth (angavastram), as he permanently hosts Goddess Lakshmi on his chest, hence the name “Thiruvazhmarban”. Here, darshan of the Lord’s chest is especially sacred.

Garuda is seen in a flying posture on a 50-foot pillar, adorned with a golden armor and ready to serve the Lord instantly, as per local belief. Due to Perumal’s brahmacharya vow, women are allowed darshan only on select days like Margazhi Thiruvathirai and Chithirai New Year.

Special offering includes salted mango (uppu maangai) on betel leaves, commemorating a legend involving Sankaramangalathammai and Perumal.

Annual 10-day festival in Masi, and during Margazhi, vibhuti (sacred ash) is offered with sandal paste to mark Lord Shiva’s visit.

Couples desiring children perform the Kathakali dance as an offering, organized by the temple’s own Kalakshetra troupe, a unique tradition blending devotion and classical art.
