86-Anantha Padmanabhaswamy Temple

திருவனந்தபுரம் கோட்டையில் அமைந்துள்ள ஸ்ரீ அனந்த பத்மநாபசுவாமி கோயில், 108 வைணவ திவ்ய தேசங்களில் 86-வது தலமாக விளங்குகிறது. 12,008 சாளக்கிராம கற்களால் ஆன 18 அடி நீளமுடைய அனந்தசயன மூர்த்தி இங்கு பிரதிஷ்டை செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளார். நம்மாழ்வார் இத்தலத்தில் மங்களாசாசனம் செய்துள்ளார்.

தல வரலாற்று சிறப்பு: வில்வமங்கலத்து சாமியாரை சோதிக்க கண்ணன் சிறுவனாக வந்த லீலை, அனந்தன் காட்டைத் தேடி பரந்தாமனை வணங்கிய கதை இத்தல வரலாற்றை சிறப்பிக்கின்றன. இந்த இடம் பரசுராமர் உருவாக்கிய க்ஷேத்திரமாகும் அறியப்படுகிறது.

கோயில் சிறப்புகள்:

• ராஜா மார்த்தாண்ட வர்மா 1750-ம் ஆண்டில் தன் ராஜ்யத்தை ஸ்ரீபெருமாளுக்கு சமர்ப்பித்தது.
• மூலவர், ஹேமகூட விமானத்தில் அனந்தனின் மீது யோக நித்திரையில் காணப்படுகிறார்.
• மூன்று வாசல் வழியாக பெருமாளை தரிசிக்க வேண்டிய விசேஷம்.
• யோக நரசிம்மர், கிருஷ்ணர், லட்சுமி வராகர், ஸ்ரீநிவாசர் சந்நிதிகள் உள்ளன.

திருவிழாக்கள்: பங்குனி மற்றும் ஐப்பசி மாதங்களில் பத்து நாள் திருவிழா, ஆராட்டு விழா, நவராத்திரி, சுவாதி இசை விழா, லட்ச தீப விழா போன்றவை பெரும் கோலாகலத்தில் நடைபெறும்.

இத்தலத்தில் திருமணத் தடை நீங்க, கல்வி மற்றும் சந்ததி பாக்கியம் பெற பெருமாள் அருள் வழங்குகிறார்.

Sri Anantha Padmanabhaswamy Temple in the Trivandrum Fort of Kerala is revered as the 86th Divya Desam among the 108 Vaishnava temples. The main deity is 18 feet long and made of 12,008 Saligrama stones, depicting Anantha Sayana Vishnu in reclining posture, glorified by Nammazhwar in his hymns.

Temple Legend: Sage Vilvamangalam had divine visions of Lord Krishna in child form, playing with him. Later, guided by destiny, he reached Anantha Kadu where the Lord appeared as Padmanabha reclined on serpent Anantha with Sri and Bhoo Devis. This location is also known as the Kshetram created by Lord Parashurama.

Architectural Highlights:

• In 1750, Marthanda Varma dedicated his kingdom and sword to the Lord, declaring him ruler of Travancore.
• The deity lies under the Hemakoota Vimanam, in eternal yogic sleep (Anantha Sayana).
• Devotees must worship the Lord through three gateways, symbolizing cosmic layers.
• The temple also houses Yoga Narasimha, Lord Krishna, Lakshmi Varaha, and Srinivasa shrines.
• The unsullied butter offered to Hanuman here never melts.
