தேரெழுந்தூர் தேவாதிராஜன் கோயில் (அஹங்காரம் அழிக்கும் பெருமாள்)

தேரெழுந்தூர் தேவாதிராஜன் கோயில், 23-வது திவ்ய தேசமாக போற்றப்படுகிறது. மூலவர் தேவாதிராஜர் சாளக்கிராமத்தால் ஆன 13 அடி உயரப் பெருமாள். இத்தலம் திருமணத் தடை நீக்கும் புண்ணிய ஸ்தலமாக பரிகாசிக்கப்படுகிறது.

பசுக்களை மேய்க்க வந்த பெருமாள், பார்வதி தேவி, லட்சுமி, சரஸ்வதி ஆகியோர் பசு வடிவத்தில் பிறப்பெற்றதற்காக “ஆமருவியப்பன்” என அழைக்கப்படுகிறார். இத்தலத்தில் கண்ணனின் லீலைகள், பிரம்மனை நீதி போதித்த கதை, ஆணவம் கொண்ட மன்னன் குணப்படுத்தப்பட்ட கதை போன்றவை இடம்பெறுகின்றன.

உபரிசரவசு மன்னனின் தேரும், கண்ணனால் பூமியில் அழுந்தப் பட்டதாலும், இத்தலம் “தேரெழுந்தூர்” எனப் பெயர்பெற்றது. இங்கு வாழும் கிருஷ்ணன், ருக்மிணி, சத்தியபாமா மற்றும் பசுங்கன்றுகளுடன் அருள்பாலிக்கிறார்.

கருடன் விமானம், கம்பர் அவதாரத் தலம், மற்றும் மூலஸ்தானத்தில் உள்ள தாயார் உடன் நின்ற பெருமாள் என பல சிறப்புகள் உள்ளன. கம்பருக்கும் அவரது மனைவிக்கும் இங்கு சிலைகள் உள்ளன.

வைகாசி திருவோணப் பிரம்மோற்சவம் மிகச் சிறப்பாக கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

🙏 இங்கு கிருஷ்ணனை வேண்டினால், காணாமல் போன பொருட்கள் மீண்டும் கைகூடும், குடும்ப சிக்கல்கள் தீரும் என நம்பப்படுகிறது.

Therazhundur Devadirajan Temple  (Perumal Who Humbled Ego)

Therazhundur Devadirajan Temple, the 23rd Divya Desam, is revered for its power to remove marriage obstacles. The presiding deity, Devadirajan, is a 13-foot-tall idol made of Shaligrama stone. This sacred site was glorified by Thirumangai Alvar.

The legend tells of Parvati cursed to be a cow, along with Lakshmi and Saraswati. To care for them, Lord Vishnu incarnated here as “Aamaruviyappan” – the One who mingled with cows. The site also reflects Krishna’s leelas, including creating illusory cows for Brahma and subduing egoistic kings.

King Uparicharavasu, once cursed for injustice during an Indra Yagna, worshipped Vishnu here. His chariot fell at this very spot, hence the name “Therazhundur” – the place where the chariot sank.

The temple is known for its Garuda Vimanam, specially brought by Garuda himself. Krishna is enshrined here with Rukmini, Satyabhama, and calves, showering blessings on all.
