திருக்காவளம்பாடி கோபாலகிருஷ்ணர் கோயில், 108 திவ்யதேசங்களில் 28-வது தலம், மயிலாடுதுறை மாவட்டத்தில், சீர்காழி – பூம்புகார் சாலையில் அமைந்துள்ளது. இது திருநாங்கூரிலிருந்து 1.5 மைல் தொலைவில் உள்ளது. திருமங்கையாழ்வார் பெரிய திருமொழியில் இத்தலம் மங்களாசாசனம் பெற்றுள்ளது.

இந்த தலத்தில், ஸ்ரீ கிருஷ்ணர், சத்தியபாமாவுக்காக தேவலோக மலரான பாரிஜாதத்தை இங்கு நட்டு வைத்தது முக்கிய நிகழ்வாகும். இந்திரனிடம் மலரை கேட்ட கிருஷ்ணருக்கு மறுப்பு கிடைத்தபின், அவர் போர்க்களத்தில் இந்திரனை வென்று, பூம்பொழிலை அழித்து, இத்தலத்தில் பாரிஜாத செடியை நட்டார்.

சேனைதலைவர் விஷ்வக்சேனர், ருத்ரன் உள்ளிட்டோர் இங்கு வழிபட்ட புண்ணிய ஸ்தலம். திருமங்கையாழ்வாரின் பிறந்த ஊர் குறையலூர் மற்றும் மங்கை மடம் அருகில் உள்ளன.

இக்கோயிலில், ராஜகோபால சுவாமி, ருக்மிணி மற்றும் சத்தியபாமையுடன் கிழக்கே நோக்கி எழுந்தருளி உள்ளார்.

அன்று, திருமங்கையாழ்வார் எழுந்தருளி, மங்களாசாசனம் செய்கிறார்.

பரிசுத்த வயல்கள் காற்றில் அலைக்கும் போது வரும் சத்தம், திருமங்கையாழ்வாரின் வரவின் அடையாளம் என பக்தர்கள் நம்புகின்றனர்.

Thirukkavalampadi Gopalakrishna Temple, glorified as the 28th Divya Desam, is located in Mayiladuthurai district, on the Sirkazhi–Poombuhar road, just 1.5 miles from Thirunangur. This sacred site has been praised by Thirumangai Azhwar in the Periya Thirumozhi.

According to legend, Lord Krishna, after slaying Narakasura with Satyabhama, returned valuables to the Devas. Later, Satyabhama wished for the celestial Parijata flower, and Krishna sought it from Indra, who refused. In anger, Krishna defeated Indra in battle and planted the Parijata tree here for Satyabhama.

Viswaksenar, the commander-in-chief of Vishnu’s army, and even Lord Rudra, are said to have worshipped here. This temple is near Kuraiyalur, the birthplace of Thirumangai Azhwar, and close to Mangai Madam, where he performed Annadhanam for Vaishnavite devotees.

Inside this small east-facing temple, Lord Rajagopala graces devotees along with Rukmini and Satyabhama.

Festivals:

Gokulashtami and Vaikunta Ekadasi are celebrated with special abhishekams and poojas.
On the day following Thai Amavasya, all 11 Divya Desam Perumals from Thirunangur participate in the Garuda Sevai held at Manimandapa Temple.
Thirumangai Azhwar arrives and performs Mangalaasaasanam for all the deities.
