திருவண் புருஷோத்தமம் – புருஷோத்தமர் திருக்கோயில் திருநாங்கூர்
திருநாங்கூரில், சீர்காழிக்கு கிழக்கே 5 மைல் தொலைவில் அமைந்துள்ள திருவண் புருஷோத்தமம், 108 திவ்யதேசங்களில் 30வது இடமாக விளங்குகிறது. இத்தலத்தில் புருஷோத்தமன் என்ற திருநாமத்தில் திருமால் அருள்பாலிக்கும் ஒரே தலம் இதுவாகும்.
இங்கு திருமங்கையாழ்வார் தனது பெரிய திருமொழியில் 10 பாசுரங்களில் மங்களாசாசனம் செய்துள்ளார். மூலவர் புருஷோத்தமர், ஸ்ரீதேவி மற்றும் பூதேவியுடன் கிழக்குத் திசை நோக்கி நின்று காட்சி தருகிறார். தாயார் புருஷோத்தம நாயகி, தனிச்சந்நிதியில் தென்கிழக்கில் உள்ளார்.

இந்த ஒரே தெருவில் 4 திவ்ய தேசங்கள்: திருமணிமாடம், திருஅரியமேய விண்ணகரம், திருத்தேற்றியம்பலம் மற்றும் இத்தலம். குமேதஸ் என்ற படிப்பறிவில்லாத ஒருவரை பெருமாள் பண்டிதனாக்கியதானும், வறுமை நீங்கி கல்வி வளர, பரிதாப நிலைசிலிருக்கும் குழந்தைகள் பாதுகாப்பு பெற, பக்தர்கள் இங்கு வழிபடுகின்றனர்.

Thiruvan Purushothamam – Purushothama Perumal Temple
Located 5 miles east of Sirkazhi, in Thirunangur, Thiruvan Purushothamam is the 30th of the 108 Divya Desams. This is the only temple where Lord Vishnu is worshipped as “Purushothaman.”
Thirumangai Alvar glorified this temple in 10 verses of Periya Thirumozhi. The main deity Purushothamar blesses devotees facing east, flanked by Sri Devi and Bhu Devi. Purushothama Nayagi has a separate shrine in the southeast.

This small village has four Divya Desams on a single street: Thirumanimaadam, Thiru Ariyamayyam Vinnagaram, Thiruthetriyambalam, and Thiruvan Purushothamam. It is believed that Lord Purushothaman transformed a man named Kumethas from illiterate to a great scholar.
Devotees pray here to remove poverty, excel in education, and receive protection for orphaned children.
Brahmotsavam in Panguni, Pavitrotsavam in Avani, and the grand Garuda Sevai after Thai Amavasya are major festivals celebrated here with devotion.
