திருசெம்பொன் செய் கோயில்

திருநாங்கூரில் அமைந்துள்ள திருசெம்பொன்செய் கோயில், 108 திவ்ய தேசங்களில் 31வது இடமாகக் போற்றப்படுகிறது. இத்தலத்தை திருமங்கையாழ்வார் பெரிய திருமொழியில் மங்களாசாசனம் செய்துள்ளார்.

தல வரலாறு: ராவணனை வென்ற பிறகு, ராமபிரான் இத்தலத்தில் தங்கி பிரம்மஹத்தி தோஷம் நீங்க தபசு செய்தார். தங்க பசு சிலையில் 4 நாட்கள் தவம் செய்ததால், தோஷம் நீங்கியது. அந்த பசுவை விற்ற அந்தணர் இந்த கோயிலை கட்டியதால், “செம்பொன் செய்” என்ற பெயர் பெற்றது.

பெருமாள், கிழக்குத் திசை நோக்கி நின்று, அல்லிமாமலர் நாச்சியாருடன் அருள்பாலிக்கிறார். பேரருளாளன் என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறார், ஏனெனில் பக்தர்களுடன் எப்போதும் இருக்கிறார். வறுமையில் வாடிய காசியப்பன் இங்கே “ஓம் நமோ நாராயணாய” 32,000 முறை ஜபம் செய்து செல்வம் பெற்றார்.

தை அமாவாசை பிறகு நடைபெறும் 11 திருநாங்கூர் கருட சேவை, ஐப்பசி சுவாதி பிரம்மோற்சவம் முக்கிய திருவிழாக்கள். இந்தத் தலத்தில் வழிபட்டால் வறுமை நீங்கி, தொழில் செழிக்கும் என்பது நம்பிக்கை.

Thiruchempon Sey Koil

Located in Thirunangur, Thiruchempon Sey Koil is celebrated as the 31st Divya Desam among the 108 sacred Vishnu temples. Thirumangai Alvar praised this temple in his Periya Thirumozhi.

Legend: After defeating Ravana, Lord Rama stayed here to perform penance for Brahmahatya Dosha. He meditated inside a golden cow statue for 4 days. On the 5th day, it was gifted to a Brahmin, who later built this temple — hence the name “Chempon Sey” (Built from Gold).

The Lord blesses devotees facing east, along with Allimaamalar Nachiyar. Called Perarulalan because he is believed to eternally protect his devotees.

A poor Brahmin named Kashyapan, chanted “Om Namo Narayanaya” 32,000 times over 3 days here and was blessed with immense wealth.

Major festivals include the Garuda Sevai (next day after Thai Amavasya) and Aippasi Swathi Brahmotsavam. Devotees worship here to overcome poverty and gain prosperity in career.
