திருமங்கையாழ்வார் இத்தலத்தை மங்களாசாசனம் செய்துள்ளார். பிரணவ விமானம், ‘ஓம்’ வடிவில் தேரின் மேற்பகுதியை ஒத்த அமைப்புடன் கட்டப்பட்டுள்ளது. இங்கு மூலவருக்கு அபிஷேகம் செய்யப்படாது, தைலக்காப்பு மட்டுமே சாத்தப்படுகிறது – இது மிகுந்த விசேஷம்.
கருடாழ்வார், பெருமாளை தேரில் வர அனுமதித்ததற்காக, இத்தலத்தில் பாதங்களுக்கு கீழே கொடிமரத்தருகே இருக்கிறார். தை அமாவாசைக்கு பிறன்ற நாள், திருநாங்கூர் 11 திவ்ய தேசப் பெருமாள்கள் இங்கு கருட வாகனத்தில் எழுந்தருளி பக்தர்களுக்கு அருள்பாலிக்கின்றனர்.

Thirumanimaada Koil, revered as the 32nd Divya Desam, is located in Thirunangur. This temple is renowned for its unique sunlight phenomenon, where sun rays fall on the main deity every morning throughout the year, symbolizing the eternal presence of Lord Vishnu as a Nandha Deepam (ever-glowing lamp).

Thirumangai Azhwar has sung mangalasasanam for this temple. The Pranava Vimanam resembles a chariot and reflects the OM symbol, highlighting the temple’s deep spiritual architecture. The main deity does not receive abhishekam, but only oil application (Thaila Kaapu), a rare practice.
Interestingly, Garuda stands at the base of the flag post near the Lord’s feet, symbolizing his devotion and humility. During the next day of Thai Amavasai, all 11 Thirunangur Divya Desam Perumals arrive here on Garuda Vahanam, offering darshan to devotees.
