திருவெள்ளக்குளம் அண்ணன் பெருமாள் கோயில், 39 வது திவ்ய தேசமாகும். இத்தலம், சஷ்டியப்தபூர்த்தி, பீமரத சாந்தி, சதாபிஷேகம் போன்ற வாழ்க்கைச் சிறப்பு விழாக்களுக்கு சிறந்த பிரார்த்தனை தலமாக விளங்குகிறது. இது தென் திருப்பதி என்றழைக்கப்படுகிறது.

துந்துமாரன் மன்னரின் மகன் சுவேதன், குறுங்காலத்தில் மரணமடையும் சாபத்திலிருந்து விலக, நரசிம்ம மிருத்யுஞ்சய மந்திரத்தை இத்தலத்தில் ஜபித்து சீரஞ்சீவியாக ஆனார். இறைவன், “இத்தலத்தில் 8000 முறைகள் மந்திரத்தைச் சொன்னால் யமபயம் இருக்காது” என அருளினார்.

விமானம்: தத்வத் யோதக விமானம்
திருமங்கையாழ்வார், இத்தலத்தையும் திருப்பதி பெருமாளையும் ‘அண்ணா’ என மங்களாசாசனம் செய்துள்ளார். எனவே இங்குள்ள சீனிவாசப் பெருமாள் ‘அண்ணன் பெருமாள்’ என அழைக்கப்படுகிறார்.

இது திருமங்கையாழ்வார் ஆழ்வாராக ஆன புண்ணிய ஸ்தலமும், குமுதவல்லி நாச்சியாரின் அவதாரத் தலமும் ஆகும். திருமணத் தடைகள் மற்றும் யமபயம் நீங்க துலாபாரம் செலுத்துதல் வழக்கம்.

புரட்டாசியில் பிரமோற்சவம், வைகாசி வசந்த உற்சவம், ஆடிக்கிழமை திருமண விழா பெருமையாக நடைபெறுகின்றன.

Thiruvellakkulam Annan Perumal Temple, one of 39th Divya Desams in Thirunangur, is renowned as a powerful prayer center for rituals like Shashtiabdapoorthi, Bheemaratha Shanthi, and Sathabhishekam. The temple is fondly referred to as Then Thirupati due to its association with Lord Srinivasa.

Legend says King Thundumaran’s son Swethan was saved from untimely death by chanting the Narasimha Mrityunjaya Mantra at this site, as instructed by Sage Vasishta. Lord Srinivasa blessed him with Chiranjeevi status and declared that those who chant this mantra here would be freed from fear of death.

The Vimana above the sanctum is known as Tattva Yodhaka Vimanam. The place is considered Bhooloka Vaikuntam by Thirumangai Alvar, who sang verses here. Since he addressed both Tirupati Perumal and this deity as ‘Annan’, the deity here is revered as Annan Perumal, the elder brother of Lord Venkateswara.

It is the avathara sthalam of Kumudavalli Nachiyar, and the holy place where Neelan was transformed into Thirumangai Alvar by Lord Vishnu.

Offering Thulabharam here is believed to remove obstacles in marriage and eliminate fear of death. Grand Purattasi Brahmotsavam and Aadi Friday Thirukalyanam are celebrated with devotion.
