திருவஹிந்திரபுரம் தேவநாதப் பெருமாள் கோயில், 108 திவ்ய தேசங்களில் 41-வது தலம் ஆகும். இங்கு வீற்றிருக்கும் மூலவர் – தேவநாதர், உற்சவர் – அச்சுதன், தாயார் – செங்கமலம் / ஹேமாம்புஜவல்லி. கோயிலின் தலவிருட்சம் – வில்வம், தீர்த்தம் கருட தீர்த்தம், மேலும் சேஷ தீர்த்தம் என்றும் உள்ளது. விமானம் – சுத்த சத்வ விமானம்.

இத் தலத்தில் திருமங்கையாழ்வார் மங்களாசாசனம் செய்துள்ளார். பெருமாள் இங்கு திருமலை வேங்கடவனின் அண்ணனாக வழிபடப்படுகிறார். இந்தத் திருத்தலத்தில் மும்மூர்த்திகள் (பிரம்மா, விஷ்ணு, சிவன்) ஒரே திருமேனியில் அருள்பாலிக்கிறார்.

கருட தீர்த்தம் ஒரு ரிஷியின் சாபத்தால் மழைக்காலங்களில் கலங்கி ஓடுகிறது. சேஷ தீர்த்தம் என்பதொரு பிரார்த்தனை கிணறு. இதில் உப்பு, மிளகு, வெல்லம் போட்டு நீராடினால் நோய்கள் குணமாகும், சரும நோய்கள், நாக தோஷம் நீங்கும்.

இந்த ஆலயத்தில் ஸ்ரீ வேதாந்த தேசிகர் 40 ஆண்டுகள் தங்கி வாழ்ந்தார். அவர் வழிபட்ட ஹயக்ரீவருக்கு தனி சன்னதி உள்ளது. ஹயக்ரீவர் இவருக்கு வேதம் மற்றும் சாஸ்திரங்கள் கற்பித்தார்.

இங்கு லட்சுமி நரசிம்மர், தாயாரை வலது தொடையில் அமர வைத்து அருள்பாலிக்கிறார். இந்த கோயிலில் ஆண்டு முழுவதும் சித்திரை பௌர்ணமி, வைகாசி விசாகம், ஆவணி பவித்ர உற்சவம் உள்ளிட்ட பல திருவிழாக்கள் சிறப்பாக நடைபெறுகின்றன.

இங்கு வணங்கினால் குழந்தை பெறுதல், உயர்பதவி, நீண்ட ஆயுள், செல்வம், நோயற்ற வாழ்வு ஆகியன கிடைக்கும். பக்தர்கள் திருமஞ்சனம் செய்து நேர்த்திக்கடன் செலுத்துவர்.

Thiruvahindrapuram Devanayaka Perumal Temple is the 41st Divya Desam among the sacred 108 Divya Desams. Here, the presiding deity is Devanayaka Perumal, also known as Achyuta, and the Goddess is Sengamala / Hemambuja Valli. The sacred tree is Vilvam, and the temple has two holy waters: Garuda Theertham and Sesha Theertham. The Vimanam (tower) is called Suddha Satva Vimanam.

Thirumangai Alvar has sung Mangalasasanam on this temple. Devanayaka Perumal is considered elder brother to Lord Venkateswara. He manifests the essence of the Trinity – Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva – in one divine form here.

Garuda Theertham flows muddied during monsoons due to a sage’s curse. The Sesha Theertham well is believed to cure skin diseases, serpent doshas, and other ailments when devotees bathe with offerings like salt, pepper, and jaggery.

The temple is renowned as the home of Sri Vedanta Desika, who lived here for 40 years. He worshipped Lord Hayagriva, who blessed him with the Vedas and scriptures atop the sacred hill. Today, Hayagriva has a separate shrine.

Another unique feature is Lakshmi Narasimha, where the Goddess is seated on the Lord’s right thigh. This site, called Oushadachalam, is rich in medicinal herbs and believed to have originated from Hanuman dropping Sanjeevani hill during his flight.

Major festivals include Chithirai Brahmotsavam, Vaikasi Visakam, Aavani Pavitra Utsavam, and more. Prayers here bring childbirth blessings, high positions, wealth, long life, and good health. Devotees often perform Thirumanjanam (sacred bathing) in gratitude.
