அஹோபிலம் பிரகலாத வரதன் கோயில்
ஆந்திர மாநிலம் கர்நூல் மாவட்டத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள அஹோபிலம் நரசிம்மர் கோயில், 74வது வைணவ திவ்ய தேசமாக போற்றப்படுகிறது. இத்தலத்தில், பிரகலாதனை காத்திட, தூணிலிருந்து நரசிம்மர் அவதரித்த தலம் என மதிக்கப்படுகிறது.
அகோ – பிலம் என்பது சிங்கம் – குகை எனப் பொருள் தருகிறது. இங்கு நவ நரசிம்மர் (9 நரசிம்மர்) கோயில்கள் உள்ளதால், இத்தலம் நவநரசிம்ம க்ஷேத்திரம் என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.
மலையடிவாரக் கோயிலில், பிரகலாத வரதன் மற்றும் அமிர்தவல்லி தாயார்; மலைமேல் அஹோபில நரசிம்மர் மற்றும் லட்சுமி அருள்பாலிக்கின்றனர். இந்திர தீர்த்தம், நரசிம்ம தீர்த்தம், பாபநாச தீர்த்தம் உள்ளிட்ட தீர்த்தங்கள் உள்ளன.

Ahobilam Prahalada Varadan Temple
The Ahobilam Temple, located in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh, is the 74th Divya Desam where Lord Narasimha appeared from a pillar to protect Bhakta Prahalada. This sacred site, surrounded by forests and hills, is revered in the hymns of Thirumangai Azhwar.
The term “Ahobilam” comes from “Aho” (lion) and “Bilam” (cave), referring to the divine cave where Lord Narasimha appeared. This is the only Divya Desam with nine forms of Narasimha (Nava Narasimha), each associated with one Navagraha.
At the base temple, the presiding deity is Prahalada Varadan with Amruthavalli Thayar, while atop the hill, Ahobila Narasimha with Lakshmi blesses devotees. The sacred waters here include Indra Theertham, Narasimha Theertham, Papanasa Theertham, and more.
According to legend, Lord Vishnu emerged from a pillar to slay Hiranyakashipu and later appeared again for Garuda Alwar’s penance. The Jayasthambam, a massive 85-foot victory pillar, is believed to fulfill all wishes when worshipped.
Festivals like Narasimha Jayanthi, Vaikunta Ekadasi, and the Masi Brahmotsavam are grandly celebrated. Worshipping all nine Narasimhas is said to bestow the combined grace of the Navagrahas.
