Dhenukasura Leela
In the beautiful forests of Vrindavan stood the Tāla (palm) grove of Dhenukasura, a powerful demon in the form of a donkey. The grove was filled with sweet-smelling fruits, but no one dared enter, as Dhenukasura and his fellow demons guarded it fiercely.
One day, Krishna and Balarama, accompanied by the cowherd boys, came to the grove. Hearing their desire to taste the fruits, Balarama shook the trees, causing the fruits to fall. Enraged, Dhenukasura charged at Balarama, but the mighty Lord caught him and hurled him to his death.
With Dhenukasura gone, the grove became safe again. The villagers rejoiced, and the air filled with the sweet scent of victory and devotion.
தேனுகாசுர லீலை
விரிந்தாவனத்தின் அழகான காடுகளில், ஒரு பனை மர வனம் இருந்தது. அந்த இடத்தில் கழுதை வடிவ ஆசுரன் தேனுகாசுரன் உறைவாக இருந்தான். இப்பழவனத்தில் ருசிகரமான பழங்கள் இருந்தாலும், யாரும் அங்கே செல்ல தைரியம் செய்யவில்லை.
ஒருநாள், கிருஷ்ணரும் பாலராமரும் பசுக்கன்களுடன் அங்கே வந்தனர். பழங்களைத் தேடி, பாலராமர் மரங்களை நெட்டினார்; பழங்கள் விழுந்தன. இது பார்த்த தேனுகாசுரன் கோபமுடன் தாக்கினார். ஆனால் பாலராமர் அவனை சுற்றி வீசி கொன்றார்.
அவனது சக ஆசுரர்களும் தோற்றனர். அதன் பின் பழவனம் அனைவருக்கும் பாதுகாப்பானதாகியது. கிராமவாசிகள் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் மகிமை கூறினர் – பக்தர்களுக்காக கிருஷ்ணரும் பாலராமரும் எந்த ஆபத்தையும் வெல்ல முடியும் என்பது இதன் போதனை.
