Description

Kulasekhara Alvar, one of the twelve Alvars, was a Chera king and a devoted follower of Lord Vishnu. He renounced his throne to dedicate his life to Bhakti. Born in Kerala, he composed the Perumal Tirumozhi—105 verses rich in emotion and surrender, praising Vishnu in various forms. A great devotee of Lord Rama and Lord Ranganatha, Kulasekhara longed to be born even as a stone at Ranganatha’s feet. His works are part of the Naalayira Divya Prabandham.
