Description
Madhurakavi Alvar is one of the twelve Alvars, known for his unwavering devotion to his guru, Nammalvar. Born in Thirukkolur, Tamil Nadu, he composed only 11 hymns called Kanninun Siruthambu, dedicated not to Vishnu directly, but to Nammalvar, considering service to the saint as the highest path to God. His verses are part of the Naalayira Divya Prabandham. He played a key role in preserving Nammalvar’s works.
