108 வைணவ திவ்ய தேசங்களில், கேரள மாநிலம் பத்தனம்திட்டா மாவட்டத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள திரு ஆறன்முளா பார்த்தசாரதி கோயில், 84-வது திவ்ய தேசமாக போற்றப்படுகிறது. இங்கு மூலவர் திருக்குறளப்பன் (பார்த்தசாரதி) மற்றும் பத்மாசினி தாயார் அருள்பாலிக்கின்றனர். வியாச தீர்த்தம், தேவ புஷ்கரிணி, பம்பா தீர்த்தம் என மூன்று தீர்த்தங்கள் உள்ளன. வாமன விமானம் இத்தலத்தின் சிறப்பம்சமாகும்.

மகாபாரத யுத்தத்தில் கர்ணனை நியாயமின்றி வதை செய்ததில் மனவலி அடைந்த அர்ஜுனன், பாவ நிவாரணத்துக்காக இத்தலத்தில் தவம் புரிந்து, பெருமாளை பிரதிஷ்டை செய்தார் என நம்பப்படுகிறது. ஆறு மூங்கில் துண்டுகளால் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட மிதவையில் விக்கிரகம் கொண்டுவரப்பட்டதால், இத்தலம் திரு ஆறன் விளை என்ற பெயர் பெற்றது.

இங்கு உள்ள வன்னி மரத்தின் காய்கள் புனிதமாக கருதப்படுகின்றன. அவற்றை தலையைச் சுற்றி எறிந்தால் நோய்கள் விலகும் என்ற நம்பிக்கை உள்ளது. இக்காய்கள் துலாபாரம் செய்யவும் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகின்றன.

பம்பா நதியின் கரையில் அமைந்துள்ள இந்த கோயிலில் பரசுராமருக்கான சந்நிதி உள்ளது. பிரம்மதேவர், வேதங்களை மீட்டுத் தருமாறு திருமாலை வேண்டி இங்கு தவம் புரிந்ததாக புராணங்கள் கூறுகின்றன.

சபரிமலை ஐயப்பனின் ஆபரணங்கள், இக்கோயிலில் பாதுகாப்பாக வைக்கப்பட்டு, மகரஜோதி விழாவில் ஊர்வலமாக எடுத்துச் செல்லப்படுகின்றன.

தை மாதம் திருவோண நட்சத்திரத்தில் ஆராட்டுத் திருவிழா விமரிசையாக நடைபெறுகிறது. செங்கண்ணூரிலிருந்து 6 மைல் தொலைவில் இந்த தலம் அமைந்துள்ளது.

108 Vaishnava Divya Desams, the Thiru Aarammula Parthasarathy Temple, located in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala, is revered as the 84th Divya Desam. The presiding deity is Thirukkuralappan (Parthasarathy), with Padmasini Thayar as the consort. The temple features sacred tanks like Vyasa Theertham, Deva Pushkarini, and Pamba Theertham, and its sanctum is crowned by the Vamana Vimanam.

According to legend, during the Mahabharata war, Arjuna was disturbed after killing Karna under unfair conditions. To attain peace of mind, Arjuna is believed to have performed penance here and consecrated the idol of Lord Vishnu.

The temple gets its name “Aarammula” from the Tamil words “Aaru-mula”, meaning six bamboo pieces, referring to the raft made of bamboo used to bring the idol. Sacred Vanni tree fruits are collected here and used for Tulabharam offerings, believed to cure diseases when thrown around one’s head, symbolizing Arjuna’s arrow dispersing enemies.

The temple is located on the banks of the Pamba River. It houses a separate shrine for Parasurama. Legend says Lord Brahma performed penance here after requesting Lord Vishnu to retrieve the stolen Vedas from the demons Madhu and Kaitabha.

Another unique tradition is that Ayyappa Swamy’s ornaments are securely kept here and taken to Sabarimala during Makara Jyothi festivities.

The temple’s main festival is celebrated during Thai month’s Thiruvonam star, drawing thousands of devotees to witness the Aarattu Utsavam. Located just 6 miles east of Chengannur, the temple stands as a powerful spiritual destination.
