திருப்பரமேச்சுர விண்ணகரம்

திருப்பரமேச்சுர விண்ணகரம், காஞ்சிபுரத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள 108 திவ்ய தேசங்களில் 56-வது தலம். திருமங்கையாழ்வார் இத்தலத்தில் பத்து பாசுரங்கள் மூலம் மங்களாசாசனம் செய்துள்ளார். இக்கோயில் பரமபதநாதனை பிரதான மூர்த்தியாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது, மேலும் வைகுந்தவல்லி தாயார் தனிச் சன்னதியில் அருள்பாலிக்கிறார்.

இந்தத் தலம், பல்லவ மன்னர் பரமேஸ்வரவர்மன் காலத்தில் மூன்று அடுக்குகளில் கட்டப்பட்டது. பெருமாள் கீழ்தளத்தில் வீரமுர்த்தியாக, நடுத்தளத்தில் சயன கோலத்தில், மேல் தளத்தில் நின்ற கோலத்தில் அருள்புரிகிறார். முகுந்த விமானம், ஐரம்மத தீர்த்தம் ஆகியவை இத்தல சிறப்புகள்.

சர்ப்ப சேத்திரம் என அழைக்கப்பட்ட இத்தலத்தில், சிறந்த சிற்பக்கலை மற்றும் பாறைக் கோவில் கட்டடக்கலை காணமுடிகிறது. உள்ளே, நரசிம்மர், இராமன், கிருஷ்ணன் வதங்களும் சிறப்பாக செதுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.

சுரங்கப்பாதை, வள்ளுவச் சிலைகள், மற்றும் பல்லவ அரசர் வரலாற்று சிறப்புகள் இத்தலத்தின் முக்கிய அம்சங்கள். திருமங்கையாழ்வார் பாடிய பாடலில், பாண்டிய மன்னனை தோற்கடித்த பல்லவ மன்னன் பெருமாளை வணங்குவதை குறிப்பிடுகிறார்.

Thirupparameswara Vinnagaram, located in Kanchipuram, is the 56th of the 108 Divya Desams. Revered by Thirumangai Alvar in 10 pasurams, this temple is dedicated to Paramapadhanathan (Vishnu) with Vaikunta Valli as the divine consort.

This sacred site was developed into a three-tiered structure during the reign of Pallava King Parameswaravarman. The Lord graces devotees in three distinct forms: standing on the top tier, reclining in the middle, and seated in the lower level. The temple features the Mukunda Vimanam and sacred Airammatha Theertham.

Once known as a Serpent Shrine (Sarpa Kshetram), the temple is renowned for its intricate Pallava rock architecture and carvings. Sculptures depicting Narasimha slaying Hiranyakashipu, Krishna defeating Narakasura, and Rama defeating Vali adorn the temple walls.

A hidden underground passage, now sealed with stone steps, connects the inner sanctum to the mandapam. It is believed to have linked the temple with Mamallapuram and the royal palace of the Pallava king. A statue of Krishna Devaraya also honors his contribution to the temple.

Thirumangai Alvar glorifies the temple by referencing the Pallava king’s victory over the Pandyas through divine grace. Saints like Ramanuja, Manavala Mamunigal, and Pillai Perumal Aiyangar have visited this temple.
