திருப்புல்லாணி ஆதிஜெகந்நாதப்பெருமாள் கோயில்

தமிழ்நாட்டின் இராமநாதபுரம் மாவட்டத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள 108 வைணவத் திவ்யதேசங்களில் ஒன்றாகும். இது இராமாயணத்துடன் தொடர்புடைய புனித திருத்தலம்.

இங்கு புல்லவர், காலவர், கண்ணவர் என்ற மூன்று மகரிஷிகளுக்காக அரசமர வடிவில் பெருமாள் காட்சியளித்த பின்பு, ஆதிஜெகந்நாதப்பெருமாளாக வெளிப்பட்டார். இவர் இராமராக அவதரிக்க அருள் செய்ததால், பெரிய பெருமாள் என புகழப்படுகிறார்.

சேதுக்கரை இந்தத் திருத்தலத்திலிருந்து 4 கி.மீ. தூரத்தில் உள்ளது. இலங்கைக்கு செல்ல கடல் பாலம் கட்ட, இராமர் இங்கு மூன்று நாட்கள் தவம் செய்தார். சமுத்திரராஜன் தாமதமாக வந்து மன்னிப்புக் கேட்ட நிகழ்வு, இக்கோயிலில் சயனராமர் சன்னதியில் நினைவுகூரப்படுகிறது. அருகில் சமுத்திரராஜா மற்றும் சமுத்திரராணியும் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.

இக்கோயிலில் ஆதிஜெகந்நாதர், பத்மாசனி, ஆண்டாள், தர்ப்ப சயனராமர், சந்தான கிருஷ்ணர், பட்டாபிஷேகராமர் ஆகியோர் உள்பட பல உபசன்னதிகள் உள்ளன. மேலும், ஐந்து நிலை இராஜகோபுரம், ஐந்து கோபுரங்கள், கோயில் குளம், மற்றும் தேர் போன்றவை சிறப்பாக விளங்குகின்றன.

வைகானச ஆகம முறையில் நாள்தோறும் நான்கு நேர பூஜைகள் நடைபெறுகின்றன. பங்குனி, சித்திரை மாதங்களில் திருக்கல்யாணம், மற்றும் புரட்டாசி 9ம் நாள் விஜயதசமி திருவிழா முக்கியமாகக் கொண்டாடப்படுகின்றன.

திருப்புல்லாணி, பக்தியும், புராண வரலாறும் சங்கமிக்கின்ற இந்நிலையிலே, விஷ்ணுவின் அருளைப் பெறும் சிறந்த தலம் ஆகும்.

Thiruppullani Adhi Jagannatha Perumal Temple- 105^th divya desam, located in Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu, is one of the 108 Divya Desams—sacred Vishnu temples praised in the Divya Prabandham. Also known as Sri Adhi Jagannatha Perumal Temple, it is closely linked with the Ramayana legend.

Here, Lord Adhi Jagannatha Perumal appeared to three sages—Pulavar, Kalavar, and Kannavar—in the form of a sacred tree and later revealed his divine form. The deity is revered as the one who blessed King Dasaratha with Rama’s incarnation, hence called Periya Perumal.

Just 4 km away lies Sethukarai, the sacred shore where Lord Rama prayed for a way to Lanka. As the Sea God delayed his appearance, Rama stayed here for three days, meditating. This spot is marked by the Sayanarama shrine, where Samudra Raja and Samudra Rani are also enshrined.

The temple houses shrines of Padmasani Thayar, Andal, Dharba Sayanarama, Santhana Krishnar, and Pattabhishekam Rama. The temple features a five-tier Rajagopuram, five vimanas, a temple pond, and a temple chariot.

Daily rituals are performed as per Vaikhanasa Agama with four-time pujas. Grand festivals include the Thirukalyanam during Panguni and Chithirai, and the Vijayadasami festival on the 9th day of Purattasi.
