108-Vaikuntham Divya desam

பரமபதம் என அழைக்கப்படும் வைகுண்டம் 108 வது திவ்ய தேசமாக போற்றப்படுகிறது, வைணவர்களின் மோட்ச ஸ்தலம் ஆகும். இது பூமியில் இல்லாத தெய்வீக உலகம், எம்பெருமானின் பரத்வம் விளங்கும் இடம். இங்கு ஜீவாத்மாக்கள் எம்பெருமானைப் போலவே ஸ்வரூபம் பெற்று, அவருக்கு கைங்கர்யம் செய்யும் பாக்கியம் பெறுகின்றனர்.

இந்தத் தலத்தை பெரியாழ்வார், ஆண்டாள், திருமழிசையாழ்வார், திருப்பாணாழ்வார், திருமங்கையாழ்வார், பொய்கையாழ்வார், பேயாழ்வார், நம்மாழ்வார் ஆகியோர் 36 பாசுரங்களால் மங்களாசாசனம் செய்துள்ளனர். இங்கு சென்றவர்கள் திரும்ப வருவதில்லை என்பதால், இது ‘தெளிவிசும்பு திருநாடு’, ‘நவபந்தமில்லாதோர் நாடு’, ‘சுடரொலியாய் நின்ற சோதி’ என அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.

ஸ்ரீமத் ராமானுஜர், ‘வேதாந்த ஸங்க்ரஹம்’ நூலில் வைகுண்டத்தை விரிவாக விளக்கியுள்ளார். 106 திவ்ய தேச தரிசனம் செய்த பின் பரமபதம் கிடைக்கும் என்பது ஆழ்வார்கள் வாக்கு.

தெற்கு நோக்கி வைகுண்டபதியாக அருள்பாலிக்கும் எம்பெருமான் இங்கு பரமபத நாதன் என அழைக்கப்படுகிறார். இத்தலத்தின் பெயரால் அழைக்கப்படும் கோயில்கள்:

• திருவிண்ணகர் ஒப்பிலியப்பன்
• காழிச்சீராம விண்ணகரம் – சீர்காழி
• வைகுண்ட விண்ணகரம் – திருநாங்கூர்
• அரிமேய விண்ணகரம் – திருநாங்கூர்
• நந்திபுர விண்ணகரம் – நாதன் கோயில்

மேலும், வைகுண்ட வாசனாக மதுரை கூடலழகர், திருக்கோஷ்டியூர், காஞ்சி பரமேஸ்வர விண்ணகரம் ஆகிய இடங்களிலும் சேவை செய்கிறார்.

Vaikuntham, also known as Paramapadam 108^th divya desam, is the eternal abode (moksha sthalam) of Vishnu devotees. This divine realm is not located on earth but is the place where Lord Narayana’s supreme divinity shines eternally. Here, liberated souls attain a form like the Lord’s and eternally serve Him with devotion and bliss.

This sacred Divya Desam has been glorified with 36 Pasurams (hymns) by Periyalvar, Andal, Thirumazhisai Alvar, Thiruppan Alvar, Thirumangai Alvar, Poigai Alvar, Pey Alvar, and Nammazhvar. Since none return from here, Azhwars praise it as “The Eternal Sky,” “Land Beyond Bondage,” and “The Realm of Radiant Light.”

Sri Ramanuja, in his spiritual work Vedanta Sangraham, elaborates on Vaikuntham’s supreme nature. It is believed that devotees who worship all 106 earthly Divya Desams are, after their departure from this world, granted residence in Paramapadam by the Lord Himself.

Paramapatha Nathan, also called Vaikunta Pathi, blesses devotees in a south-facing posture. Temples bearing the Vaikuntham name include:

• Thiruvinnagar – Oppiliappan Temple
• Kazhi Seerama Vinnagaram – Sirkazhi
• Vaikunta Vinnagaram – Thirunangur
• Arimeya Vinnagaram – Thirunangur
• Nandipura Vinnagaram – Nathan Koil

Additionally, He is worshipped as Vaikunta Vasudeva at Madurai Koodal Azhagar Temple, Thirukoshtiyur, and Kanchi Parameswara Vinnagaram.
