Vasthra Apaharana Leela 

During the early morning hours, the Gopikas of Vrindavan would bathe in the Yamuna River, praying to Goddess Katyayani to bless them with Krishna as their husband. Following their vow, they left their clothes on the riverbank and entered the water.

One day, mischievous Krishna hid in a tree, quietly took their clothes, and climbed onto a branch. Laughing playfully, He asked the Gopikas to come out of the water and beg with folded hands to get their clothes back.

Though shy, the Gopikas complied, and Krishna returned their clothes with divine grace. This leela symbolizes the surrender of ego and desires, showing that only pure devotion wins the Lord’s heart.

வஸ்திர அபஹரண லீலை 

வ்ரிந்தாவனத்து கோபிகைகள், கார்த்திக மாதத்தில் கத்தியாயனி தேவியை வழிபட்டு, கிருஷ்ணரை வாழ்க்கைத் துணையாக பெற விரும்பினர். யமுனையில் குளிக்கும்போது, தங்கள் vasthram (வஸ்திரம்) ஆகிய உடைகளை கரையில் விட்டு நீரில் இறங்கினார்கள்.

அப்போது கிருஷ்ணர் மரத்தில் ஒளிந்து, பசிக்குள்ள mischievous தனத்துடன் அவர்களின் vasthram-ஐ எடுத்து மரத்திலே ஏறினார். புன்னகையுடன், “வந்தே பணிந்து கேட்டால்தான் உங்களது vasthram மீண்டும் கிடைக்கும்,” என்றார்.

கோபிகைகள் வெட்கம் கொண்டும் பக்தியோடும் கீழிறங்கினர். கிருஷ்ணர் அவர்களின் vasthram-ஐ திருப்பிக் கொடுத்தார். இந்த லீலை, அஹங்காரமும் ஆசைகளும் நீங்கிய பக்தியே பரமாத்மாவை அடைவதற்கான பாதையென்பதைக் காட்டுகிறது.
