திருநீரகத்தான் கோயில்

திருநீரகத்தான் கோயில், 108 திவ்ய தேசங்களில் 47-வது தலமாக போற்றப்படுகிறது. இங்கு மூலவர் திருநீரகத்தான், உற்சவர் ஜெகதீசப் பெருமாள், தாயார் நிலமங்கை வல்லி, மற்றும் தீர்த்தம் அக்ரூர தீர்த்தம் என்பவையாகும்.

இத்தலம் ராமாவதாரம் மற்றும் கிருஷ்ணாவதாரத்தின் இடையே ஆன பிணைப்பை மிக அழகாக விளக்குகிறது. சுமந்திரன், ராமாயணத்தில் ராமரை காட்டுக்கொண்டு சென்ற தேரோட்டியாக இருந்தார். அவதார மாற்றத்தில், அவர் அக்ரூரராக பிறந்து கிருஷ்ணனை பிருந்தாவனத்திலிருந்து மதுரைக்கு தேரில் அழைத்துச் சென்றார். இந்த மகிழ்ச்சியான தருணம் “அக்ரூரராகமனம்” என பாகவத புராணத்தில் புகழப்பட்டுள்ளது.

அக்ரூர தீர்த்தம் என்ற தீர்த்தம், அக்ரூரர் நீராடிய புண்ணிய ஸ்தலமாக விளங்குகிறது. இங்கு ஜெகதீசப் பெருமாள் சாபவிமோசனமாக அவருக்கு காட்சி கொடுத்துள்ளார்.

திருமங்கையாழ்வார் இத்தலத்தில் திருநீர்வண்ணனை தரிசித்ததாக பாடல்கள் உள்ளன. வைகுண்ட ஏகாதசி விழா சிறப்பாக கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

Thiruneeragathan Temple

Thiruneeragathan Temple, located in Kanchipuram, is the 47th Divya Desam among the sacred 108 Divya Desams. The Moolavar is Thiruneeragathan, Utsavar is Jagadeesha Perumal, and Thayar is Nilamangai Valli. The temple’s sacred tank is known as Akrura Theertham.

This temple beautifully connects the Rama and Krishna avatars. In the Ramayana, Sumantra, the royal charioteer, reluctantly drove Rama to the forest. In a later birth, he was reborn as Akrura, a devotee of Krishna. As divine compensation, Akrura joyfully drove Krishna from Vrindavan to Mathura in a chariot, a moment celebrated as “Akrura’s Journey” in the Srimad Bhagavatam.

The Akrura Pushkarani is where Akrura bathed seeking relief from past-life curses. Jagadeesha Perumal appeared before him here and relieved his afflictions. This divine encounter gave the temple its sanctity.

Thirumangai Alvar also glorified this temple, describing the Lord’s water-colored form similar to what he saw in Thiruneermalai. The temple hosts a grand Vaikunta Ekadasi celebration.
