கோயில் சிறப்புகள்: ஹேமகூட விமானத்தின் கீழ், மூலவர் கிழக்கு நோக்கி நின்ற கோலத்தில் அருள்பாலிக்கிறார். அருகில் யமுனை நதி ஓடுகிறது, இது தலத்துக்கு புனித தன்மையை வழங்குகிறது.

Among the 108 Divya Desams, the Ayarpadi Navamohana Krishna Temple in Gokulam (also called Ayarpadi) is revered as the 72nd Divya Desam. It has been glorified in the Divya Prabandham by Periyazhwar, Andal, and Thirumangai Azhwar.

Temple History: During the Dwapara Yuga, Lord Krishna spent His childhood in Gokulam, engaging in divine pastimes like stealing butter, playing with cowherd friends, and slaying demons. These leelas are immortalized in many Azhwar hymns.
Temple Highlights: Under the Hemakoota Vimanam, the deity stands facing east, blessing devotees. The sacred Yamuna River flows nearby, enhancing the sanctity of the place.
The annual Nandotsavam, celebrated a day after Krishna Jayanthi (Gokulashtami), marks Krishna’s arrival to Nandagopa’s home. Nearby is Vrindavan, part of Vraja Bhoomi, which includes Gokul, Govardhan, and Barsana – places deeply linked to Krishna’s youth.
Vrindavan features sacred sites like Keshi Ghat, Nidhuvan, Seva Kunj, and Bhanghi Bihari Mandir. The entire Vraja Parikrama – a pilgrimage circuit around 285 km – draws countless devotees. Saints like Chaitanya Mahaprabhu rediscovered these divine forests.
