93-Thiruppulingudi Kayachin Vendhar

108 வைணவ திவ்ய தேசங்களில், தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்டம் திருப்புளிங்குடி பகுதியில் உள்ள காய்ச்சின வேந்தர் (பூமிபாலகர்) கோயில் 93-வது திவ்ய தேசமாக போற்றப்படுகிறது. இத்தலம் வரகுணமங்கையிலிருந்து கிழக்கே ஒரு மைல் தொலைவில் அமைந்துள்ளது மற்றும் பிரம்மாண்ட புராணம், தாமிரபரணி தல புராணம் போன்ற தொன்மையான நூல்களில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

மூலவர்: பூமிபாலகர், உற்சவர்: காய்ச்சின வேந்தர், மற்றும் தாயார்களாக மலர் மகள் நாச்சியார், நிலமகள் நாச்சியார், புளியங்குடி வல்லி அருள்பாலிக்கின்றனர். இக்கோயிலில் உள்ள தீர்த்தங்கள்: வருண தீர்த்தம் மற்றும் நிருதி தீர்த்தம் மற்றும் விமானம்: வேத சார விமானம் என்பது சிறப்பு.

கோயில் சிறப்புகள்:
வேத சார விமானத்தின் கீழ், பூமிபாலகர் அருள் கிழக்கு நோக்கி, மரக்காலை தலைக்கடியில் எழுந்து கொண்டு வழிபடுகிறார். லட்சுமிதேவி, பூமிபிராட்டி, நாச்சியார் திருவுருவங்கள் இத்தலத்தின் பிரமுகக் காட்சிகள். பெருமாள் நாபியில் இருந்து தனியாக கிளம்பும் தாமரைக் கொடி மற்றும் பிரம்மதேவரின் தாமரை மலர் தனித்துவமானது.

திருவிழாக்கள்:
வைகுண்ட ஏகாதசி விழா சிறப்பாக கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. பக்தர்கள் பெருமளவு வந்து சுவாமி தரிசனம் செய்வது வழக்கம்.

Among the 108 Vaishnavite Divya Desams, the Kayachin Vendhar (Bhoomipalar) Temple at Thiruppulingudi in Thoothukudi district is celebrated as the 93rd Divya Desam. Situated about one mile east of Varagunamangai, this temple is mentioned in ancient texts such as the Brahmanda Purana and the Tamiraparani Thala Purana.

The presiding deity (Moolavar) is Bhoomipalar, with the Utsavar known as Kayachin Vendhar. The goddesses worshipped here are Malar Magal Nachiyar, Nilamagal Nachiyar, and Puliyankudi Valli. The temple features sacred Varuna Theertham and Niruthi Theertham tanks and boasts the impressive Veda Sara Vimana.

This temple is renowned as the 4th temple among the Navathirupathis and is a powerful remedial site for those afflicted with Budha Dosha (Mercury affliction). Devotees seeking academic success and relief from planetary dosha perform special rituals including Thirumanjanam (sacred bath) and offer garments to the deity.

Temple Highlights:
Bhoomipalar stands facing east beneath the Veda Sara Vimana, resting his wooden staff on the ground. The majestic idols of Lakshmi Devi, Bhoomi Piratti, and Nachiyars are significant attractions. A unique feature is the lotus stalk emanating from the deity’s navel that merges with the lotus flower of Brahmadeva in the temple wall.

The temple is also known for relieving Brahmahatti Dosha affecting Indra.

The Vaikunta Ekadashi festival is celebrated with grandeur, attracting numerous devotees for divine darshan.
